Hurtigruten Vintage Era Voyages
Surround yourself with the splendor and charm of the nostalgic
maritime era of the 60's aboard the fully restored MS Lofoten.

Sail back in time to 1964 on MS Lofoten and experience life along the coast 50 years ago.

Take a journey with the beautiful MS Lofoten. This 'grand lady' is the oldest in the fleet, and you can experience her fully-restored splendor and charm while traveling along the Norwegian coast. To make these voyages true to the roaring 1960's, you'll have alternative activities and excursions and scenery not offered on other Hurtigruten vessels.  While MS Lofoten will visit the same 34 ports as on the Classic Voyages, because she is smaller, she will also visit otherwise inaccessible places.

MS Lofoten was launched in Oslo in 1964. Now she is fully restored to reflect the era. With unique lounges, and a separate panorama deck, she is simply incomparable.  The cabins on board are simple, but they are equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. She is still a favorite for many of the returning guests. Enjoy the proximity to the coast, other guests and crew and a stronger feeling of authenticity.

To enhance the experience of a journey in the past, you can join activities and excursions you don't get on a regular Hurtigruten voyage along the Norwegian coast. Try fishing from the deck, visit exciting places and experience the coast in a different manner. Join ice swimming excursions, join in on trivia, auctions and a very special hat parade along the way.

The restaurant serves delicious four-course dinners that are inspired by the menus that were on board in the 60's. And as in 1960, all food is delivered from local suppliers from the ports visited. To enhance the experience employees serve all the food from silver platters. In addition sherry or aperitifs are often served before dinner.
